This kind of valve is open and close. Permanent on cold, heat source, outlet, equipment, outlet, pipeline branch line (including riser), can also be used as water discharge valve and exhaust valve. Common shutdown valves are gate valves, globe valves, ball valves and butterfly valves.

Gate valves can be divided into open and dark bars, single and double gate, wedge and parallel gate. Gate valve closed tightness is not good, large diameter gate valve opening is difficult; along the direction of flow valve body size is small, flow resistance is small, gate valve nominal diameter span is large.

The stop valve is divided into three types of straight-through type, right-angle type and direct-current type according to the flow direction of the medium. The closing tightness of the stop valve is good, the valve body is long, the flow resistance is large, and the maximum nominal diameter is DN200.

The valve core of the ball valve is an open ball. When the plate valve rod makes the ball opening align with the pipe axis, it is fully open and the rotation of 90° is fully closed. The ball valve has certain regulation performance and is closed tightly.
